- Upcoming recital, Brandeis University – Slosberg Recital Hall, Sunday September 12th, 8 pm. Music of Schubert, Ligeti, Janáček.

- In-progress composition for two pianos and percussion to be premiered by Jared, Ji Hye Jung, and Michael Zell, and a pianist TBA, in Spring 2011. Also performed on this concert will be Bartók’s sonata for the same ensemble.

- Jared has been awarded the prize for “Best Performance of Russian Music” at the 2010 International Russian Music Piano Competition.

- “Miracle in a Box” will be shown at the Mendocino Film Festival on June 6th and the Martha’s Vineyard Film Festival on July 14th.

- Premiere of Luminoso, for vibraphone and marimba duo, will be given at Yale University on April 24th by dedicatees Michael Zell and Ji Hye Jung.

- Jared will play a solo recital at Brandeis University in Waltham, MA on April 16th. Program will include six pieces by William Byrd, as well as music by Scriabin, Beethoven, and Ravel.

- Due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control, the New York recital scheduled for February 3rd is POSTPONED. The concert will be rescheduled later in the Spring. Program is likely to include Byrd, Chou, Ravel, and Scriabin.

- Oscar-winning filmmaker John Korty has recently completed a film entitled Miracle in a Box: a piano reborn, about the art of piano restoration. This film chronicled the restoration of the instrument given away to Jared as winner of the Berkeley Piano Competition in 2008, and features scenes of his speaking and performing. The film is currently being shown at film festivals and on PBS, and will be released soon on DVD and Blu-ray. www.miracleinabox.com
